CAIRO – The ruling military council Saturday ordered the detention of Ibrahim Kamel, a businessman and a member in former president Hosni Mubarak's party over alleged involvement in acts of thuggery in Cairo's Al Tahrir Square on Friday. The Supreme Council of the Armed Forces, which has been running the affairs of Egypt since Mubarak's ouster last February, said in a statement that Kamel was among "the remnants of (Mubarak's) National Democratic Party". The council accused Kamel of involvement in incitements through his followers in Al Tahrir Square. The military also ordered the dention three of Kamel's aides allegedly for involvement in acts of terror against Egyptians in the iconic square on Friday.
