CAIRO - The Arab world has been witnessing many uprisings, with the Tunisian and Egyptian presidents having already been ousted, while the protests continue in Libya, Yemen and Bahrain. But the revolution in Egypt has been unique, because of the sense of humour of the Egyptians. Since launching their revolution‚ the Egyptians' sense of humour has been apparent in their slogans, drawings and comments. Even though Mubarak has gone, the jokes about the officials in his fallen regime continue. Egyptians love to comment on everything and these days they're doing so via Facebook groups and pages. They started with the man behind Omar Soliman (the former Vice-President) in the now-famous photo, then ex-Prime Minister Ahmed Shafik's pullover, before turning the spotlight on former Minister of Interior Habib el-Adly's bathrobe. Earlier this week, citizens stormed the nation's State Security building, because they believe that State Security was corrupt, like the former regime. When they entered the office of the former Minister of Interior in the State Security headquarters in the Cairo area of Nasr City, people were astonished by its luxury and costly furniture. But they were even more astonished to find two bathrobes " a white one for a man and a pink one for a woman. How curious! Young Egyptians have now launched a Facebook page entitled‚ ‘The bathrobe in el-Adly's cupboard is the most famous in Egypt'. Adly is being on trial on corruption charges.
