NEW YORK, Sept 29, 2018 (MENA) - Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry met with his Pakistani counterpart Shah Mehmood Qureshi on the sidelines of his participation in the 73rd session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). Shoukry stressed Egypt's keenness on boosting bilateral cooperation in all fields especially the parliamentary one, said Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid. He further expressed Egypt's support for Pakistan in its war against terrorism, reviewing Egypt's efforts for fighting extremist ideologies via the role of Al Azhar and Dar Al- Iftaa spreading the moderate teachings of Islam, Abu Zeid asserted. Qureshi reiterated that Pakistan looks forward to promoting joint cooperation, underlining the importance of coordination between both countries regarding regional and international issues.
