CAIRO, Sept 25, 2018 (MENA) - Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority (SCA) Mohab Mamish said Tuesday that the authority will coordinate with the ministries concerned to put up the best investment incentives and amend laws pertaining to investment in the economic zone. The move comes upon directives from President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, Mamish said, adding that further facilities will be provided and obstacles that hinder development in the SCZone will be removed. During his meeting with people working at the SCZone, Mamish said that the zone is steadily moving ahead towards development. Separately, the SCA will hand over a land plot at the industrial zone in Eastern Port Said to the Germany's Bavaria company on October 30 to establish the first two projects at the zone, Maish said. He added that negotiations are underway between the authority and the Arab Organization for Industrialization for establishing three factories at the industrial zone. Revenues of the SCZone during fiscal year 2017/2018 exceeded EGP 2 billion, and the authority is working to end several infrastructure projects, according to Mamish. Mamish confirmed that coordination is underway with the Transport Ministry to unify tariffs of maritime services at all Egyptian ports.
