PORT SAID, April 23, 2018 (MENA) - The Head of the Suez Canal Authority (SCA) and the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone) Admiral Mohab Mamish said that a Russian delegation will visit Cairo by the end of this week to continue the successful negotiations on establishing a Russian industrial zone in eastern Port Said. The negotiations are led by the Egyptian government represented by the Trade and Industry Ministry, he noted, adding that the final agreement will be signed soon. The SCZone board of directors under Mamish held a meeting in the presence of Trade and Industry Minister Tarek Qabil to probe the latest developments in the negotiations between Egypt and Russia besides the status quo of the infrastructure projects in the southern and northern sectors, said a statement issued by the SCA on Monday. Admiral Mamish underscored that there is high implementation rate of the infrastructure ventures inside the SCZone, noting that the SCZone targets fulfilling the needs of the foreign investments from infrastructure via establishing water desalination stations and upgrading electricity grids. He further reiterated that negotiations with Dubai Ports World are about to be finalised, he affirmed.
