CAIRO, Sept 10, 2018 (MENA) - Prime Minister and Housing Minister Moustafa Madbouli said twenty new 4th-generation cities are now being built in several governorates to accommodate 30 million people. In a statement on Monday, Madbouli said the new cities, built by the New Urban Communities Authority, will occupy over 580,000 feddans and provide millions of direct and indirect jobs. President Abdel Fattah El Sisi attaches great attention to the establishment of 4th generation cities as they play a role in providing a decent life to citizens and creating opportunities for investments, the statement said. The twenty cities will be built in the governorates of Cairo, Giza, Qalubiya, Beheira, Port Said, North Sinai, Minya, Beni Suef, Assiut, Qena, Aswan and Luxor. The New Administrative Capital, which covers an area of 170,000 feddans, is on the top of the 4th generation cities that are now being built.
