CAIRO--An Egyptian TV presenter has shot to death his wife for marital differences in Giza, south of Cairo, according to police. Ihab Saleh, a news anchor on Egyptian TV, faces charges of a premeditated murder and the possession of an unlicensed gun. During questioning, he admitted to killing his 35-year-old wife after an eight-year marriage in their house early Tuesday due to sharp differences, added police. The suspected killer was quoted as saying that he had fatally shot at his wife, a businesswoman, after she had insulted and slapped him in the face during a heated argument over a suspected love affair. The Giza prosecutors ordered him be remanded for four days pending further questioning.
