CAIRO, July 23, 2018 - President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has praised the positive talks he held with Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir during his visit to Khartoum last Thursday. In a written correspondence to Sudanese President Bashir, President Sisi paid tribute to the deep-rooted and historic relations between Egypt and the Sudan. The presidential correspondence was handed to the Sudanese president by Egypt's Ambassador to Khartoum, Osama Shaltout, Monday, the Middle East News Agency (MENA) reported. In the message, the Egyptian leader expressed hopes for the further development of relations between the two countries in all fields, in order to realise the aspirations of both countries and peoples. In addition, the Egyptian leader thanked President Bashir for the warm welcome and hospitality accorded to him during the visit to Khartoum, wishing prosperity to the Sudanese president and people. The message, Ambassador Shaltout told the news agency, also focused on the talks held between the two presidents on bilateral, regional, Arab and international issues of mutual concern.
