CAIRO, July 2 ,2018(MENA) - The political leadership is highly interested in investigating the problems of the National Cement Company (NCC) and finding solutions to them, said Minister of Public Enterprise Hisham Tawfiq.
The Public Enterprise Ministry said in a statement on Monday that Tawfiq directed the Chemical Industries Holding Company (CIHC)'s board to have a recourse to a specialised consultancy firm to conduct a detailed study on all alternatives needed for resolving the problems facing the government-affiliated company that closed its factories one by one and stopped operation in November 2017.
This came at a meeting with CICH Chairman Emad el Din Moustafa and NCC Chairman Mohamed Hassanein Radwan and representatives of the workers at the company's board.
During the meeting, the minister reviewed the main problems facing the company and proposals to solve them.
