CAIRO, June 29, 2018 (MENA) - Egypt's Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli is due to attend on Saturday the signing ceremony of a contract to establish the largest petrochemicals complex in the Middle East at the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone) in Ain Sokhna, with total investment of 10.9 billion dollars. Head of the Suez Canal Authority and SCZone Mohab Mamish along with Carbon Holdings CEO Basil el Baz will sign the contract. Set to be built on five million square meters, the project is envisaged to create 48,000 job opportunities. Funded by international institutions, the project complies with the petrochemicals strategy and represents an added value to the Egyptian industrial sector. Comprising 11 factories, the project is set to be finalized within 41 months, the least possible timetable for the implementation.
