ISMAILIA, June 5, 2018 - THE Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority (SCA), Admiral Mohab Mamish, on Tuesday said that he was keen to keep on contacting heavy weight businessmen and investors and remove any obstacles that might impede the progress of their projects in the Suez Canal Economic Zone.
Admiral Mamish made the statement during his meeting with Mr Mohamed Abul Einein, the owner of the Ceramica Cleopatra Group in the Canal city of Ismilia earlier in the day.
The Mamish-Abul Einein talks focused on the means of enhancing co-operation between the SCA and local investors as well as the possibility of launching fresh investment projects in the Suez Canal Economic Zone.
Admiral Mamish reaffirmed to Mr Abul Einein that the SCA was quite keen on encouraging the local capital owners to start more projects in the Suez Economic Zone through offering them a myriad of facilities and incentives.
"To help and attract more investments, the SCA has been keen on simplifying the procedures, removing and solving any problem that may encounter Egyptian investors, who have already launched big investment ventures especially in the southern sector of the Suez Canal Economic Zone, or the Industrial zone in el-Ain el-Sukhna," Admiral Mamish said.
He said that his talks with Mr. Abul Einein dealt with the means of widening the scope of co-operation between the SCA and Egyptian investors as well as the possibility of launching more ventures in el-Ain el-Sukhna area.
For his part, Mr. Abul Einein praised the key role that had been undertaken by Adm. Mamish's prompt response in resolving any investment-related disputes and paying more attention to local and foreign investors who are the partners in national development.
He said that the Suez Canal Economic Zone was a promising area, which had a great potential to become an international investment hub that enjoyed a unique geographical location.
Mr. Abul Einein also said that the zone would be a perfect place for launching big investment projects which would help achieve growth and development in Egypt.
At the end of the talks, Admiral Mamish presented the SCA Shield to Mr. Abul Einein in appreciation of his efforts and works that played a noticeable role in Egypt's development.
