By: Gazette Staff CAIRO, May 2, 2018 - Egypt denounced the suicide blast that hit Libya's electoral commission in Tripoli on Wednesday, killing at least a dozen people in an attack claimed by the Islamic State jihadist group. The Foreign Ministry extended condolences to the families of the victims and wished the injured speedy recovery. The Ministry also stressed support for the Libyan people and government in countering all forms of violence and terrorism as well as realizing security and stability. In the statement, the Foreign Ministry also renewed Cairo's call on the international community to take upon itself the responsibility of drying up the financial resources of terrorist groups and denying them safe havens.
