CAIRO,April 30,2018 (MENA) - Egypt strongly condemned the terrorist attacks in Afghanistan and the targeting of a site near the headquarters of the Afghan intelligence services in the capital Kabul. In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it also denounced the targeting of a convoy of NATO forces in the city of Kandahar. The attacks killed about 32 people, including 11 children, and wounded 43 others. It said the Egyptian government affirmed it is standing by the Afghan people and government in facing terrorism which targets the security and stability of the country. It also underlined that the attacks by terrorist Daesh group have spilled the blood of children, which shows the cruelty and barbarity of Daesh. The statement reiterated Egypt's call on the international community to take a decisive position to dry up the sources of terror funding and training of terrorist elements, as well as to take a tough stance against countries that provide safe haven for terrorists. In addition, Egypt called for uniting international efforts to combat extremist ideology and reduce its spread among young people.
