SHARM EL SHEIKH, April 18, 2018 (MENA) - The third Arab Conference for Food, Drug and Medical Devices called for holding workshops for those in charge of monitoring food and drug safety to hone their skills and localize the pharmaceutical industry. The conference that wound up in Sharm el Sheikh on Tuesday recommended that Arab countries would adopt more regulatory frameworks to guarantee the safety of food and medicines. It also called for abiding by standards set by international organizations in the food and pharmaceutical industry. It called for exchanging information to fight counterfeit drugs and boost the work of food regulatory bodies. The conference is organized by the Arab Organization for Administrative Development in cooperation with the Saudi Food and Drug Authority.
