CAIRO, April 3- As the presidential elections results came out on Monday, April 2, world leaders have started sending their congratulations to incumbent President Abdel Fattah El Sisi. Chinese President Xi Jinping sent a message to President Sisi to congratulate him on winning a second presidential term, Xinhua reported. In the message, Xi said that he has kept close contacts with Sisi in recent years, and that he is pleased to see that mutual political trust between the two countries was deepening, bilateral pragmatic cooperation advancing, and people-to-people and cultural exchanges becoming more active. Xi said that China and Egypt enjoy a strong relationship and he hoped that the Egyptian people, under Sisi's leadership, would achieve more accomplishments in exploring the country's own development path. Xi said that he highly values the development of China-Egypt relations and is willing to work together with Sisi to further enhance the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Egypt and bring more benefits to the two peoples. Meanwhile, Mauritanian President Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz also sent a cable to President Sisi, congratulating him on his re-election as president of Egypt for a second term. Nouakchott is keen on maintaining cooperation with Cairo to achieve best interests of the two peoples, he said. President Sisi also received congratulations from senior Egyptian, Arab and foreign officials and statesmen. Arab Parliament Speaker Meshaal bin Fahm al Salami congratulated President Sisi on the election win, stressing that Sisi's re-election emphasized the Egyptian people's high trust in their political leadership and their persistence to eliminate terrorism. The Egyptian Presidential Committee announced on Monday that incumbent President Sisi won 97.08 per cent of the valid votes in the 2018 presidential election.
