CAIRO, March 15, 2018 - The Court of Cassation is keen to consolidate judicial and legal co-operation relations with all institutions and unions in the African countries in the light of close co-operation ties binding Egypt and the whole African Continent, President of the Court of Cassation and the head of the Supreme Judiciary Council, Justice Magdi Abu el-Ella affirmed on Thursday. During his meeting with a delegation of the Union of African Lawyers, who are on a current visit to Cairo, Justice Abu el-Ella reviewed the Egyptian judicial system as a whole and stressed the importance of the role played by lawyers in achieving justice, Vice President of the Court of Cassation Justice Mohamed Reda said. The visiting delegation extended an invitation to Justice Abu el-Ella and a number of Egyptian judges to attend the African Conference of Chief Justices, Presidents of Supreme Courts, Constitutional Courts and Heads of Judiciaries, which will be held in Kenya later this year. "There have been special relations linking Egypt to the African countries, especially as President Abdel Fattah El Sisi is keen on deepening and consolidating Egyptian-African relations in all domains," Justice Abu el-Ella told the delegation.
