A HIGH-level African labour delegation on Wednesday wished President Hosni Mubarak a speedy recovery from surgery in Germany, Shura Council Chairman Safwat el-Sherif has said. The members, who represent Fishing, Agriculture, and Irrigation Trade Unions from 15 Nile Basin countries, have extended their wishes for a quick recovery to the President, el-Sherif, who also doubles as the Secretary General of the ruling National Democratic Party, added. The team members are on an official visit to Cairo for talks with seniorGovernment and parliamentary officials about bolstering agricultural, animal husbandry and labour co-operation between their respective countries and Egypt. They lauded the already strong relations between African trade unions and the Egyptian Trade Union Federation (ETUF). El-Sherif said that the members had expressed their wish for expanding the scope of co-operation with Egypt in all labour domains.
