The Ministry of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities has outlined the procedures for Egyptian expatriates seeking refunds of down payments made for the Beit El Watan project. Applicants must submit their requests through the designated email address available on the project's official website. The Ministry reiterated its commitment to maintaining effective communication with Egyptians abroad, assigning specialised teams to respond to inquiries and resolve issues to ensure transparency and provide quality services. Addressing recent media reports on the large number of pending transfer requests—estimated at around 3,000—the Ministry confirmed that the tenth phase of Beit El Watan and its supplementary offering marked the largest land allocation since the project's launch. Nearly 18,000 residential land plots were offered in this phase, bringing the total number of plots allocated since 2012 to approximately 25,000 across nine main and complementary phases. The tenth phase initially included around 3,000 residential plots. However, overwhelming demand led to nearly 15,000 transfer requests during the offering period. In response, the Ministry expanded the project's website to accommodate close to 15,000 plots across multiple cities, including New Cairo, Sheikh Zayed, Damietta, El Shorouk, New Mansoura, 15th of May, New Sphinx, Badr, and 6th of October, as well as New Obour, New Minya, New Aswan, New October, New Alamein, Capital Gardens, 10th of Ramadan, Beni Suef, New Sohag, New Assiut, and New Qena. Out of this offering, around 13,000 plots were successfully reserved. To further meet demand, the Ministry launched a supplementary phase offering about 4,700 additional plots across cities such as October, New Damietta, 15th of May, Obour, Shorouk, Badr, New Sphinx, New Obour, New October, New Alamein, New Beni Suef, 10th of Ramadan, Sadat, Borg El Arab, Qena, and New Nasser. The offering attracted strong interest, with approximately 3,500 booking requests submitted within one week of opening applications. The Ministry affirmed that it will continue to address the needs of Egyptian expatriates by offering land in prime locations through successive phases of the Beit El Watan project.
