SKF, the global leader in bearing technologies and industrial solutions, has recorded a 20% year-on-year business growth in Egypt, underscoring its expanding role in the country's heavy industries. The announcement came during SKF Egypt's "Heavy Industries Day" event, held in celebration of the company's 50 years of successful operations in the country.
The event was headlined by Dag Juhlin-Dannfelt, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden to Egypt, whose presence reflected the strong and evolving economic and industrial ties between Sweden and Egypt.
Ambassador Juhlin-Dannfelt commended the longstanding bilateral cooperation and praised SKF's significant contribution to Egypt's industrial sectors, including steel, cement, and paper.
"Sweden reaffirms its commitment to strengthening industrial and economic collaboration with Egypt, especially through the growing role of Swedish companies in supporting Egypt's Vision 2030—particularly in the fields of sustainability, innovation, and knowledge transfer," he said.
"We believe the future holds great promise for deeper collaboration as we work together toward a green, resilient economy built on innovation and inclusivity."
The event brought together senior executives from leading local and international companies, as well as prominent figures from Egypt's industrial and investment communities. SKF used the platform to showcase its latest innovations, reaffirming its dedication to bolstering Egypt's industrial resilience.
Key presentations spotlighted SKF's intelligent bearing systems, predictive maintenance solutions powered by remote sensing and vibration analysis, and advanced lubrication technologies—all aimed at reducing downtime, enhancing energy efficiency, and promoting sustainable industrial operations.
Khaled El Dessouky, General Manager of SKF Egypt, highlighted the company's robust growth and its strong alignment with Egypt's industrial priorities.
"SKF has played a pivotal role in driving growth across Egypt's most critical industrial sectors. Our focus extends well beyond supplying world-class products—we provide integrated solutions and cutting-edge services that help our partners achieve operational excellence," he said.
"As we look to the future, we are committed to continuous innovation, strategic collaboration, and capacity building to support Egypt's broader industrial development."
The company also showcased its workforce development and upskilling initiatives, designed to equip engineers and technicians across Egypt with the tools needed to thrive in high-demand industrial environments. SKF reaffirmed its support for major industrial expansion projects, offering tailored solutions that boost performance and reduce costs under challenging operational conditions.
SKF's sustained investment in Egypt highlights its strategic role as a long-term partner in the country's industrial transformation—driving innovation, operational efficiency, and economic growth.
