Egypt's Minister of Foreign Affairs Badr Abdelatty, held a telephone call with Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Péter Szijjártó, on Saturday, to discuss bilateral relations and the Arab plan for early recovery and reconstruction in Gaza. During the call, Abdelatty praised the development of relations between the two countries in various fields. He highlighted the importance of using the current momentum in bilateral relations to enhance cooperation, particularly in trade and investment. The Foreign Minister reviewed the outcomes of the extraordinary Arab summit held in Cairo and the international support for the plan for early recovery and reconstruction in Gaza, which was adopted by both the Arab summit and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation. Abdelatty affirmed that work will be carried out in the coming period to mobilise the necessary international support for its implementation. He also discussed Egypt's efforts to host a conference for reconstruction in Gaza in cooperation with the Palestinian government and the United Nations, alongside Egypt's efforts to solidify the ceasefire agreement in the sector and implement its three phases. For his part, the Hungarian Foreign Minister praised Egypt's efforts in preparing the plan for early recovery and reconstruction in Gaza and the international conference that Egypt is scheduled to host in this regard. He also commended Egypt's roles in achieving security and stability in the Middle East, and its central efforts to ensure the consolidation of the ceasefire in Gaza.
