Egypt's President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi met with Lebanon President Joseph Aoun on Tuesday on the sidelines of the Extraordinary Arab Summit held in the New Administrative Capital. According to Egyptian Presidency Spokesperson Mohamed El-Shennawy, Al-Sisi affirmed Egypt's unwavering support for Lebanon and President Aoun's efforts to achieve stability and security for the Lebanese people. El-Shennawy added that Al-Sisi emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation in all fields, particularly in economic aspects. Al-Sisi expressed the readiness of Egyptian companies to actively and efficiently engage in development and reconstruction efforts in Lebanon. He also stated Egypt's willingness to provide all possible support to enhance the efficiency and capabilities of Lebanese state institutions. The spokesperson noted that Al-Sisi also affirmed Egypt's support for the implementation of the ceasefire agreement in Lebanon and the implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1701. Both presidents stressed the need for the immediate and complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from southern Lebanon. The Lebanese President expressed his pride in meeting with Al-Sisi, valuing the strong brotherly relations between the two countries. He also expressed appreciation for Egypt's continued support for Lebanon and its people. Both presidents affirmed their aspiration to enhance bilateral cooperation between the two countries in all fields.
