MSMEDA pumps EGP 65m into 5 governorates as part of 'Decent Life' initiative
Agency funds 520 projects in 9M 2021, creating 1,023 job opportunities in Al-Shuhada and Ashmoun towns

Magdy Abdullah, Director of the third region of the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (MSMEDA), has said that the agency has pumped about EGP 65m in the villages and towns targeted by the "Decent Life" initiative in the governorates of Sharqeya, Gharbeya, Menoufiya, Damietta, and Daqahleya. The agency financed about 2,000 small and micro projects, which provided more than 4,000 job opportunities.
MSMEDA branch in Menoufiya organized a series of training courses for the women and girls of Al-Shuhada and Ashmoun towns to familiarize them with the basic steps for setting up their own projects and how they can obtain appropriate financing.
The agency also organized specialized training courses, under the title "Businesswomen Moving Forward", to help women who own existing projects to develop their capabilities, expand their businesses, increase their productivity, and maximize profits.
Ehab Hegazy, Director of MSMEDA branch in Menoufiya, invited women in the governorate to register and join these training courses.
Hegazy said that a series of entrepreneurship training courses were organized for a number of university students in the governorate, during which the trainees learned how to set up projects, develop a project plan, prepare feasibility studies, and study the market. He stated that the initiative targets 81 villages.
He pointed out that MSMEDA funded about 520 projects in the first nine months of the year, which provided about 1,023 job opportunities in Al-Shuhada and Ashmoun towns.
In the field of non-financing services, the agency branch in the governorate organized a number of workshops to introduce the advantages and facilities provided by the new project development law to project owners. The branch also issued about 60 temporary licenses, and 19 projects were reconciled, and 85 certificates of classification and benefits were issued for projects in the villages targeted by the initiative.
