Ecomondo green technology expo to start in November
Published in Daily News Egypt on 18 - 03 - 2020

Ecomondo exhibition, the benchmark event in Europe for technological and industrial innovation, will launch on 3-6 November at the Rimini Expo Center.
The Italian Exhibition Group organising the event announced two new features in Ecomondo and Key Energy, in terms of structures and content, which will open up more business opportunities for companies.
There will be an area with an additional total area of 9,000 square metres, which will be located on the western side of the Rimini Exhibition Center. Key Energy will also host the launch of LUMI Expo 2020, a division dedicated to smart spaces technology. Strategic development elements of digital technologies will advance the concept of smart cities to further focus on people and their needs.
Ecomondo 2020 will be made up of four sectors: waste and resources; water (with integrated water cycle), circular bioeconomic, reform, and hydrogeological hazards.
These are all sectors in which Italy has already set a record for. It is the European country with the highest circular index, a benign cycle of €88bn for the country's economy, an added value of €22bn, and a total workforce of 575,000.
However, from 2020 onwards, the challenge will be even greater, due to the Pollutant Emission Reduction Plan developed by the European Commission with an ambitious goal of changing it to zero over the next thirty years. Hence, the issues that will be communicated with the experts, general and private managers, researchers, civil society and associations at Ecomondo 2020 will relate to public procurement.
