During his participating in World Government Summit(WGS), the Minister of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT)Amr Talaat , and Jamal bin Huwaireb, the CEO of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF) witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) and MBRF to support cooperation and exchange of expertise and technical assistance between the two sides in the field of innovation and creation.
The agreement was signed by Maha Rashad, ITIDA acting CEO and Shamsa Al Balooshi, MBRF director of Partnerships. The three-year MoU comes as a part of knowledge sharing between both sides, establishing cooperation and exchanging knowledge during the Arab Innovation Summit.
The event, which is hosted in Dubai in February of each year, holds seminars, workshops, and symposiums. In addition to the Egyptian pavilion in the summit, Egypt's MCIT exerts efforts for holding the Arab Innovation Summit in Cairo this year.
Talaat participates in the seventh annual meeting of the WGS, which is held from February 10-12 in Dubai, attended by over 4,000 world leaders, policy makers, and experts from more than 150 countries.
Furthermore, Talaat also witnessed the signing of a Letter of Intent (LoI) between ITIDA and UiPath for Middle East and Africa-a software development company specialised in the development of Robotic Process Automation (RPA)-to cooperate in qualifying Egyptian calibres and to polish their skills in the field of software provided by UiPath RPA through the company's electronic platform.
The Information Communication and Technology minister and Karan Dixit, the vice president of UiPath discussed the firm's future plans to open headquarters for the company in Egypt, and the transfer of experiences of UiPath to Egyptian companies working in the field of business process outsourcing to provide RPA services.
The collaboration also entails formulating a training programme that takes into account the industry's requirements, determined by the company's international and local partners in Egypt. The programme aims to equip 100 trainees per year, to meet the requirements of the labour market, and to provide them with job opportunities in the companies specialised in this field.
