The Bavarian Auto Group, the exclusive dealership of BMW and MINI in Egypt, announced the arrival of the new BMW X2 to the local market, which is known as a versatile compact SUV sports car. The new model was based on Concept X2, which was displayed at the company's pavilion, during the 2016 Paris Motor Show. The X2 Coupe is the smaller sibling of the X4 and X6.The exterior design of the car is among the most important factors of the distinction. The young spirit and the crafty lines flowing in the design template of BMW are very clear, especially as external equipment marked with the M Sport. The model shares the wheelbase of the BMW X1, but 7 cm closer to the ground. This model comes with a more athletic design and spirit than the X1. The ceiling curve design is also from the sporty Coupe models. Finally, the BMW mark is fixed on the back base, to bring to mind the classics of BMW in the 1960s, such as BMW 2000 CS and BMW 3.0 CSL. The X2 has excellent spaces for four passengers, with storage space in trunk of 470 litres. The model also features kidney grill front ventilators known for BMW. But in this model, the ventilators show more aggressive sporty spirit. The X2 comes with 1,500 CC turbo engine making 140 HP. The Bavarian Auto Group offers the X2 in the local market in two categories: the exclusive and the M Sport X package. Both categories have 1.5-litre engine distributed on three cylinders operating on BMW Twin Power Turbo, which includes the turbo charging, the direct fuel injection, and the variable control system in the operation of valves, to be able to extract 140 HP at maximum torque of 220 N/M at 1,480 and 4,200 RPM. This model has a single choice of gearboxes, namely the DCT double-gear automatic transmission of seven speeds linked to the front wheel drive. This model can reach 100 km/h in 9.6 seconds with a top speed of 205 km/h. This is as fuel consumption remaining at 6.3 litres per 100 km from a tank of 51 litres. The LED daytime headlamps support automatic operation with front fog lights and rain sensors. In this model, the audio system and the radio come from BMW Professional linked to a 6.5-inch screen with USB and Bluetooth connectivity. We also find park distance control sensors and automatic AC. Moreover, the leather seats come in black or oyster. The back seats can be folded 40:20:40. This version of the X2 has 17-inch rims with run flat tires. This model provides many electronic systems to support driving, with ABS and cornering brake control system. The car is also equipped with dynamic system control, which provides an ECO Pro mode to save fuel. The model has also a system to transform thermal energy from braking to electricity. There are sports seats with electronic memory and 19-inch rims for the M Sport package X2 BMW. This version of the X2 has many exclusive features, including the M Sport Package exterior design, the M aerodynamic package, the metal 19-inch rims, and an M-engraved slogan on the spoiler. The multifunction steering wheel also has the M logo and the electric sports seats have electronic memories to renumber seating positions. In this version, we find the panoramic ceiling and the aluminium extras package for the cabin. The exclusive equipment does not stop there, as the LED headlights and fog lights have the same technologies.
