Automotive companies promote themselves in North Coast
Kia, BMW, and Toyota are the most prominent signs announced
Published in Daily News Egypt on 03 - 08 - 2017

Automotive companies have taken advantage of the increasing demand in the North Coast region during the summer to promote their cars and offer their customers the facilitation of sales and maintenance.
Daily News Egypt took a tour of the market and the direction of many companies—notably Mercedes, MINI, BMW, Toyota, Subaru, Opel, Volkswagen, Audi, Seat, and Kia—as many automotive companies renewed their focus on the North Coast this year to be a major venue for various advertising for their cars and a centre for promoting their after-sales services.
Many other companies have moved to compete, devising new ways to showcase their latest models to the local market.
Kia
Egyptian International Motors (EIM), the agent for KIA cars in Egypt, has presented a different way this year to showcase its cars, including the upgraded Cirto and Sportage models. The cars are presented on the sea with a mobile launch in Marina. Discounts on the car can be seen when booked from the North Coast.
The company has introduced its cars in an innovative way by setting up the highest semi-enclosed glass car and walking in some villages in the North Coast to give viewers a mental picture of the car's prestige and the choice of customers.
The Kia Cerato has a new design for headlamps, rear and front grille, 16-inch sportswear with a new sporty design, and improved car quality to be more comfortable for the satisfaction of all customers.
Moreover, it comes with a 1,600cc engine that generates 130 horsepower and is equipped with a 6-speed automatic transmission. The car includes a wide range of equipment; a rear view camera; a 7-inch touch screen, which can receive files via USB, as well as audio reception via the AUX input; rear seat air-conditioning; automatic welcome lights; and LED headlamps that capture the eyes of others on the road and provide optimal vision.
The car also includes four categories of equipment, the first with front and rear electric windows, electric control of the LED side mirrors, and a CD/MP3 radio with steering wheel control.
The second category is the possibility of electric mirrors, Bluetooth with steering wheel control, 16-inch sports straps, and anti-slip ABS system to ensure the safety of car occupants in various driving conditions, especially in rainy weather, providing perfect control of the car when a sudden stop is needed. There are also two airbags for the driver and front passenger in case of a collision with another body or vehicle, absorbing the shock and maintaining the safety of the passengers.
Meanwhile, the third category includes an electrically opened roof and LED headlamps, as well as a speed stabiliser with steering wheel control.
The fourth category is equipped with a front and rear corner sensor, a 7-inch touch screen, rear-view camera, and the ability to turn the engine on and off without a key.
Toyota Driving Test
Toyota Egypt offers its customers a coastal driving test, along with discounts of up to 10% on spare parts and industrial maintenance of the car in the North Coast, Marina's Gate 2, and Smouha, Alexandria.
The company did not offer new models for 2018, only introducing the 2017 Toyota Corolla with a new look, after the introduction of some external adjustments compared to the car's previous version.
The 2017 Corolla comes to the Egyptian market in one category—Vis Lift—which carries many visual changes while maintaining the same engine. New safety features have been added, including alarm systems when leaving the track, a pre-collision warning system, and xenon headlights.
Corolla has introduced simplified updates that appear on the front, with new LED lamps; a larger, lower grille; and a new overall bumper.
From the rear, the updates were less prominent, as there was only an addition of LED backlights with an updated design and touches of chrome.
As for the car's sides, the door handles have drastically changed, where the material is now entirely chrome. In order to highlight the smooth line on the side of the car, the Corolla is available with 16-inch, 17-inch, or 19-inch rims.
BMW
The Bavarian Group, the agent of BMW in Egypt, has made discount offers on spare parts through the service centre it opened last in the North Coast in Marina 1 Village. It has also introduced customers to BMW's category X cars, which were launched in May.
Renault's maintenance
Renault is providing maintenance service for all Renault car owners at the Total gas station in front of Marina's Gate 5 on Alamein Road until the end of the Eid Al-Adha holiday.
Renault still has not launched new models in the Egyptian market, where the last three models it launched were during the last Automech Formula exhibition. Those models included the Renault Lodgy for seven passengers, the Renault Kadjar 1,200 turbo from the Crossover category, and the Renault Megan in its new form.
