Published in Amwal Al Ghad on 30 - 05 - 2012

Renault Automobiles has initiated a strategy which aims at propagating its brand in the Saudi market. The different models and types of cars made by Renault are carefully tested and modified at Renault Research Center to offer the best performance under the various climatic conditions “New Duster", which is introduced this May, is an example and a sought-after car with multiple features suitable to all types of conditions and usages in Saudi Arabia.
Renault focus on the Saudi market comes from the fact that it is a large and promising market in the region where cars are widely used. The rate of sales is also constantly increasing while the usage of cars in Europe seems to have reached a point of saturation. Renault depends on various factors to make the success of this strategy possible. The most prominent of these factors is relying on environment-friendly cars with zero emissions; a trend that made Renault a pioneer in this field, and also adoption of innovation and creativity culture by concentrating on new designs that meet the requirements of all classes at reasonable prices. This is aside from availability of spare parts (100%), reduction of purchase and maintenance costs, growing family of customers satisfied of its products, and attention to customer care.
In the last three years Renault furnished large investments in the Gulf region to increase the sale of its various types of cars in the region hoping to become the first European car in the Gulf region by 2015. Renault sales are expected to reach more than 15 thousand cars in the Gulf region by 2013 and about 3 million cars across the world in the same year.
Recently, Renault introduced in the various markets of Saudi Arabia ‘New Duster" at reasonable and attractive prices. It's a formidable car covered by insurance of up to three years or 100,000 kilometers. The “New Duster" has two brands; 4x2-4 speed automatic gear; and 4x4-6 speed manual gear, supported by 2.0 16V (135 HP) engine. Both brands combine vastness with comfort while its compact size and height from the ground allow for smooth driving inside and around the cities, rural areas and un-asphalted roads.
“Duster" has been experimented to a distance of four million kilometers under various climatic conditions and harsh testing circumstances. Hard tests have also been conducted to this car for one complete month under the climatic and environmental conditions of GCC before its release. The purpose was to ensure that it complies with Renault quality criteria. The aspirations of the clients and their craving for a new car that reflects their social status have been taken into consideration. It's a strong, sportive, four-wheel drive and multi-usage car attainable within their financial capabilities.
The design of the car was meant to maintain the safety of all passengers as it includes ABS, EBA brake systems, air bag for front passenger seat, side air bags for front seats and safety belt alarm (visual and audio) for the front passenger. The external appearance of the car has also been taken care of. It contains chrome coated mirrors and longitudinal ceiling bars, two front and rear protective panels for the site thresholds, and windows and rear glass densely filmed.
DUSTER won more than ten awards in international business newspapers including “Car of the Year – 2011 4x4" in France and Argentina, “Car of the Year for 2011" in Ukraine and Russia and “Autobest 2011" in Germany and “Golden Steering Wheel" in Romania.
