Sakan Misr sells 8,463 conditions booklets in first day
In case of running out of conditions booklet, the ministry will print out new ones, says Housing Minister
Published in Daily News Egypt on 17 - 08 - 2017

The Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, Mostafa Madbouly, announced that the sales of "Sakan Misr" conditions booklets reached 8,463 in the first day across 8 branches of the Housing and Development
Bank (HDB).
The minister assured that there is no need to contend or to worry about running out of conditions booklet as there are instructions to print new ones in case the existing ones run out from the HDB.
In the same context, he stressed that there is no privilege for those who bought the conditions booklet in the first day or paid the down payment early, meaning that those who bought the booklet on the first day will be treated as those who bought it in the last day, as a public tender will be held to determine who will win the units.

Madbouly added that the reservation can be done between 10 September and 5 October 2017 during the working hours of all the branches of the HDB. The applicants will deliver the reservation form and pay the down payment, which reflects the seriousness of the buyer.
The minister pointed out that the ministry released the conditions booklet on 15 August to reserve the first group of the project, which includes 40,000 units in New Cairo, New Damietta, Obour City, Badr City, New Minya, 6th of October City.
Madbouly said that to book a unit in this project, the applicant must be at least a 21-year-old Egyptian and to have not previously purchased an apartment or a piece of land from the ministry. Finally, the family cannot apply for more than one unit.
This project is suitable for a citizen whose income does not comply with the booking conditions of social housing apartments. It is being implemented for the first time in Egypt at a lower price than the middle-class housing project "Dar Misr" and in larger areas than the social housing project "million units."
