Saied fined by Zamalek
Published in Daily News Egypt on 29 - 07 - 2008

CAIRO: Zamalek announced that Hani Saied will be fined around LE 50,000 for speaking to the media without the club s permission.
The Whites defender blasted his new club, speaking to Egyptian TV on Monday, as he claimed that he was misled by Zamalek officials upon signing the contract.
Saied accused Zamalek directors of deceiving him regarding the buy-out clause in his contract.
The Egypt international signed a three-year contract with Zamalek earlier this month, to put an end to controversy after declaring he wants to play for Ahly.
But Saied told Egyptian TV that a separate buy-out clause that was supposed to be attached to the contract was illegal.
I agreed to sign for Zamalek when they promised me that there will be a minimum fee release clause in my contract, he said.
Zamalek officials then told me that the clause can only be added in a separate document, which was sent to the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) for approval.
But I was shocked to learn that the document was not official and that the EFA cannot approve it.
Now I cannot give my best in a place where I don t feel happy and comfortable.
Consequently, the Cairo club imposed an immediate verdict against the Egypt international, apparently for speaking publicly without permission.
According to the club s regulations, a player who speaks to the media without permission could be fined up to LE 50,000, assistant coach Tarek Yehia told FilGoal.com.
I have no comment to make regarding what he said.
Saied s move to Zamalek was blemished by the 28-year-old s hesitation to complete the transfer after agreeing a contract, which he finally signed after the EFA s intervention.
