Al Ahli complete Egyptian league and cup double

CAIRO: African Champions Al Ahli underlined their dominance of Egyptian football by completing the league and cup double with a 3-0 win over Zamalek in Friday s cup final. Al Ahli, who ended the season unbeaten 14 points clear of second-placed Zamalek in the title race last month, added a further trophy with goals from Emad Moteab and Emad Al Nahhas. Al Ahli, who also won last November s African Champions League, is unbeaten in two years in domestic and continental football. Moteab, part of Egypt s African Nations Cup winning team last February, opened the scoring in the 20th minute, followed 13 minutes later by an opportunistic strike from defender Al Nahhas. Moteab got Ahli s third in the 70th minute against a Zamalek side reduced to 10 men for the second half after Mahmoud Mahmoud was sent off. Reuters
