Egypt finishes last after 12th defeat

Egypt has ended their volleyball World League adventure by losing to Cuba 3-0 on Sunday night at Cairo stadium to record their 12th straight defeat and get eliminated from the first round.
The Pharaohs had a strong start as they lost to the Cubans 25-23 but they lost their pace completely in the second half to let the visitors win it comfortably 25-17 before regaining their rhythm in the third 25-22.
Cuba are now second of Pool C with 19 points while Egypt are at the bottom of the table with 12 points amassed from 12 defeats.
In the other match of the group Serbia stunned Russia to a 3-0 defeat to climb to the top of the table.
