Egypt lost 3-0 to Russia on Sunday night in the World League, to record a sixth straight defeat in Pool C. The Russians won a first easy set 25-19 but faced some resistance in the second 25-22 and the third 25-22 to keep their lead in the group with 11 points. The Pharaohs won only one set in their six games to lay down at the bottom of the group with six points. Egypt's next game against Russia will be on June 16th. Elsewhere, Serbia created a big surprise as they inflicted a shock defeat to Cuba 3-1.
