5 Celebrities died from pneumonia

Brittany Murphy
According to British Daily Mail newspaper, a leading pathologist Richard Shepherd stated that Hollywood actress Brittany Murphy would still be alive if her mother had called for an ambulance 24 hours before she collapsed.
Murphy was a US film and stage actress, singer, and voice artist. The newspaper said that Murphy was reluctant to get medical help when she began first having difficulties breathing since she was suffering from pneumonia.
Murphy died on 20 December 2009 at age of 32. Two months after her death, autopsy results completed by the Los Angeles Coroner confirmed that her body showed that there was no evidence of alcohol abuse or illegal substances at time of her death. On 4 February 2010, the Los Angeles County coroner asserted that the main cause of her death was pneumonia.

According to Tucson Citizen Newspaper, the English-born US comedian, actor, and singer Bob Hope died on 27 July 2003from pneumonia in less than two months after turning 100.
According to Los Angeles times, Hope was hospitalised in 2001 in Burbank with mild pneumonia and was conscious although breathing with an oxygen tank and taking antibiotics. He had trouble breathing and then headed to the hospital. Doctors admitted at the time that his condition was serious.

According to the New York Times, Charles Nelson Reilly died from pneumonia. The US actor, comedian, director, and drama teacher died on 25 May 2007 at age of 76. His partner, Patrick Hughes, stated that the cause of death was complications of pneumonia.





Corey Haim

According to the Huffington post, the Los Angeles County coroner stated that Canadian actor Corey Haim died from pneumonia, complicated by an enlarged heart and narrowed blood vessels.
He died on 10 March 2010 at age of 38. According to autopsy reports he died from natural causes from "community-acquired pneumonia" which destroyed his lungs.
George Peppard
According to the New York Times, the famous actor George Peppard died at age of 65 from pneumonia. He was admitted to the hospital before death because he had trouble breathing. He was an US film and television actor and died on 8 May 1994.
