Ministries of Tourism and of Foreign Affairs will coordinate with Egyptian ambassador in Russia to meet with tour operators by end of this week

The Egyptian Ministry of Tourism will launch its tourism promotion campaign at the World Travel Market (WTM) exhibition in London Sunday.
A total of 42 Egyptian hotels and 30 travel agencies are participating in the campaign.
Sources told Daily News Egypt that Minister of Tourism Hisham Zaazou arrived in London on Saturday to participate in the conference and meet with international tourism companies.
According to the sources, Zaazou has not cancelled his pre-scheduled visit to London but delayed it to the evening to follow up the updates of the Russian aircraft crash. His agenda will be busy since he will meet with international tourism operators.
Sources described the Egyptian participation in the WTM exhibition as its largest due to the contract signed with JWT to market Egyptian tourism for three years.
The Ministry of Tourism is currently coordinating with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs through the Egyptian Ambassador in Moscow to discuss his visit to Russia directly from London to meet with tour operators by the weekend.
Discussions are still ongoing in the light of the investigations conducted on the circumstances of the crash.
Head of the Tourism Activation Authority Samy Mahmoud said that Egypt's participation this year will be at the highest level, where the Minister of Tourism himself will head the Egyptian delegation.
He said the WTM exhibition in London is one of the most prominent tourism exhibitions, ranked second after ITB Berlin, where they will be to promote Egypt's winter tourism and summer tourism promotion.
JWT's campaign will focus on the current winter season to increase the flow tourism to Egypt, especially to places suffering decline of tourism including Luxor and Aswan and other destinations along the Red Sea.
Sources said the delegation from the Egyptian Federation of Chambers of Tourism is represented by its Chairman Elhamy El-Zayat, Chairman of the Chamber of Hotels Mohammed Ayoub, and Khaled El-Manawi.
They told Daily News Egypt that Hill & Knowlton is currently coordinating with the Ministry of Tourism to respond to the queries raised about the recent safari incident mid-September and the fall of the Russian aircraft in Sinai on Saturday.
A Russian passenger aircraft crashed south of the city of Arish, leaving no survivors.
Tourism Activation Authority specified €1,350 for the participation of hotels and companies.
Official of the Egyptian Travel Agents Association said that the association will support the flight programme for its members participating in the London exhibition.
