Monthly inflation rises by 2.8% in September
The annual inflation rate has recorded 9.4% in September 2015 compared to September

The inflation rate increased by 2.8% over September 2015 compared to August 2015, the Central Agency for Public Mobilisation and Statistics (CAPMAS) stated in a Thursday report.
In September, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) registered (172.2) points compared to (164.7) point in August, CAPMAS said noting that this increase is the highest since July 2014, where it has increased by 3.6%.
CAPMAS added that the annual inflation rate has recorded 9.4% in September 2015. Whereas, this rate has registered 7.9% in August and 8.3% in July.
Meanwhile, CAPMAS attributed this significant increase to the rise in the vegetables' prices by 19.2% and patient services and outpatient clinics by 14.4%, in addition to school uniforms by 17% compared to the previous month.
. Whereas, on an annual basis, they have risen by 11.2% compared to September 2014.
CAPMAS also showed that the inflation rate has increased by 10.4% over the period from January to September 2015 compared to the same period last year.
