Judge Mahmoud Al-Rashid of the North Cairo Court postponed the fifth trial of former president Hosni Mubarak and former Minister of Interior Habib Al-Adly to 25 August on Saturday, according to state-owned Al-Ahram. Al-Ahram said due to the security situation, armoured cars would be unable to transport the defendants to court. Mubarak, Al-Adly and six of his assistants have been charged with killing protesters, as well as the embezzlement of public funds. The trial was previously postponed on 6 July to enable defence attorneys to review documents submitted by the Prosecutor General in court.
