The trial of former minister of interior Habib El-Adly has been postponed to 14 August. The trial was delayed after El-Adly's lawyer asked for time to study evidence, including official police records, submitted to the court today. El-Adly and six of his former senior assistants stand accused of killing and injuring hundreds of protesters during the January 25 Revolution against the Mubarak dictatorship. El-Adly is already serving a 17-year sentence in two other cases related to corruption.
