CAIRO: Egyptian Information and Communications Technology (ICT) companies will participate in the Systems 2007 exhibition in Munich, Germany Oct. 23-26, announced the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA).
Systems is the leading business-to-business trade fair for IT, media and communications, held in Europe's largest high-tech and media venue.
"Systems is one of the world's key specialized events, which helps visitors figure out the needs of the international ICT markets, said Wael Morgan, director of ITIDA's international exhibitors sector.
The exhibition is an excellent networking opportunity for people in the industry, especially for commercial and technology decision-makers in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and large corporations. "A distinguished location has been chosen for Egypt's 342 square-meter booth, divided over 10 sections for the Egyptian companies, Morgan added.
The Egyptian entities participating in the event include Advanced Computer Technology (ACT), ITIDA, Allied Soft (AITS), Arab Company for Computer Manufacturing, CIT Global - Mobile Division, Egypt Network, Link Egypt, InterNile, SoftLock, TEA Computers, Tut International and Gemeinschaftsstand Ägypten Pavilion. Around 60,000 participants are expected to take part in this year's exhibition.
The four-day event will give visitors access to detailed, practical information on the latest topics in the ICT industry, including IT security, mobile business, Open Source software and SOA.
"Systems is also expanding its agenda for trade visitors who use the fair to improve their know-how, for decision-makers who want to use sector-specific solutions to optimize their IT, and for technical executives who want to exchange information with colleagues to benefit their products, Systems organizers said.
In addition to the forums that will take place during Systems, there will be other programs. For example, the "Systems Academy is being added to the already extensive program of conferences at this year's fair. It will feature courses, seminars, lectures and practical workshops that address the concerns of technical experts and the interests of business decision-makers.
The second program of information events, known as "Systems Sector Service, is dedicated to sector-specific solutions.
The fair offers visitors in nine branches of industry orientation assistance and informs them which exhibitors can meet their needs.
