NEW DELHI: A day after Chitrangada Singh slammed reports that she and her golfer husband Jyoti Randhawa were looking to to divorce, media were ablaze with questions after she has pulled out of a local fashion show in Dubai. The Desi Boyz star was set to be the showstopper for Indian designer Archana Kocchar on May 27 at Dubai's Atlantis, The Palm. “Due to family issues, Chitrangada has pulled out of the event. We have finalised a bigger star to represent Label 24's presentation. We will reveal the name soon," confirmed organizer Aanya Agarwal, managing director of Chocolate Entertainment. She is in talks with another Bollywood star to be the ramp scorcher. It's a common practice for designers to employ Bollywood stars to present their final creation. In the past week, Singh's personal life has come under intense scrutiny. Her joint appearance with her golfer husband of seven years at Gurgaon court last Friday triggered rumors that the couple had filed for mutual consent divorce. 37-year-old star on Monday categorically quashed the reports, claiming that they were in court together to setter an internal property dispute issue. Sources close to Singh, however, denied that they two were at odds with each other and said the woman simply "needed time to relax and recover." However, they did not elaborate on what that meant exactly, nor did they deny to Bikyanews.com that the fashion show cancelling was related to the potential divorce. BN
