BANGKOK: Two men are in serious condition in northeast Thailand after they were shot by another angry man after they had performed the popular horse dance of “Gangnam Style” by Korea's Psy. Local media in the country said that the alleged shooter is now on the run after shooting two partygoers at a local temple in the region where they were celebrating the offering of new robes for the monks. The two victims were dancing in front of the mor lam stage (mor lam is a type of bass-heavy Northeastern dance music). Instead of dancing in traditional form, with its arm movements, the pair were performing Psy's horse dance. Security officers intervened, stopping the fight and sending the soon-to-be assailant home. But he did not go home. But as the pair drove away from the fair on a motorcycle, they saw the angered man waiting for them. Using a shotgun, the shooter hit one of the men in the right eye socket and the other in the arm and torso, police confirmed to Bikyamasr.com on Tuesday morning. By the time police arrived at the scene, the pair had already been sent to a nearby hospital. Police went to the shooter's home in Rai Noi Subdistrict, where his father said his son had not come home that night. Unfortunately, this is not the first violence related to the global horse dancing phenomenon created by Psy. It has seen other shootings in the country in recent months. In September, a Gangnam Style dance-off led to a gun battle in Bangkok's Ekkamai District.
