NAIROBI: In a bid to make the Kenya Vision 2030 a reality, The People's Republic of China announced the funding of some of the ICT projects. Minister for Foreign Affairs, Professor Sam Ongeri had urged the government of China to invest more in key sectors other than technology such agriculture, health and so on. He added that the Kenyan- Chinese partnership is important for development and it is at its best. Chinese Ambassador to Kenya, Liu Guangyuan, said that China was devoted to hold up and support infrastructure development projects in Kenya as China would also stand to benefit from improved infrastructure. Ambassador Liu added that Kenya and China's future greatly relied on education and ICT development and China is committed to improving these standards. The Kenya Vision 2030 is the country's greatest milestone and development blueprint that was initiated by the President, Mwai Kibaki – the Vision's long term goal is to transform Kenya into a middle-income country that provides a higher quality life to all its citizens. The Vision platforms include economic, the social and the political transformations and it is to be implemented in successive five-year Medium-Term Plans.
