Official report from Tahrir Doctors: May 2, 2012; ongoing violence in Abbassiya

CAIRO: Disclaimer: the data in this report is from the cases observed by our medical doctors working in the conflict zone of Cairo; and too, based on reports from other medical doctors working in the field; we acknowledge there may be additional cases that are not included.
- Time: these are injuries that we have seen, or were reported to us from dawn until eight in the morning.
- The type and age of victims: young males.
- The martyrs: six people, five of them and one shot in the neck, fatally.
- Wounded: more than a hundred different injuries.
- The case of the medical field: injuries can be simple; however due to the limitations of working in field it is essential move the injured to hospitals immediately.
- The case of hospital surroundings: either still closed to the injured and the attack on either the injured and paramedics who take them to it. There were also attacks, almost certainly by the thugs in control of these hospitals, and abuse of violating the sanctity of all injuries and deaths, including at the hands of these armed gangs.
- Activity of the Assembly: we do not have any occurrence of an independent or as a sit-in inside a field hospital, but our doctors do their duty with other doctors whom are there.
We reiterate our call and cry for all the officials in the country that are provided with sufficient ambulances to hospitals and safe movement of the seriousness of the cases, and that is secured by the hospital was taken over by armed thugs.
