SANA'A: Yemeni Human Rights Minister, Hooria Mashour, reached out this Tuesday to the Pakistani authorities demanding the immediate release of Osama bin Laden's widow and children, as she stressed that punishing the late terrorist's family members was not only illegal but a breach of their inalienable rights. “Having been married to a criminal does not equate to the guilt of his or her spouse. Amal al-Sadeh committed no crimes, nor did her children. Pakistan should arrange for their return to Yemen where they belong,” said the Minister to Bikyamasr.com. Amal al-Sadeh, a young woman of Yemeni descent was married off Osama bin Laden over a decade ago and had 4 children with him, the youngest being 2 years-old. According to the Foreign Ministry, Pakistan is now opposing Amal and her children's return to Yemen, arguing that she had entered Pakistan illegally and should therefore stand trial. Her cousin, Hameed al-Sadeh, however denied the allegations saying that the young woman had entered Pakistan perfectly legally with her brother back in 2000, advancing that the Pakistani authorities had actually released a photocopy of her passport bearing an official entry visa stamp. Amal's family members are now concerned over her well-being and that of her children, saying that they were all being kept underground and prevented from ever going outside. Moreover, Amal is said to be suffering ill health following an injury she received in the raid conducted against her husband. Hameed told reporters that “she limps from a bullet wound in her knee and she's suffering from psychological trauma and very low blood pressure.” BM ShortURL: http://goo.gl/2yIWc Tags: BinLaden, Pakistan, Wife, Yemen Section: Latest News, Pakistan, Women, Yemen
