SANA'A: The sounds of armed clashes have quieted down in the Yemeni capital, Sana'a to leave space for a rhetorical war, heightened threats and warnings made against former President Ali Abdullah Saleh. After the latter held a meeting with some loyalists from the General People's Congress cursing revolutionaries and was seen entering the presidential palace from a back door, members of the Joint Meeting Parties exploding in anger. Mohamed Qahtan, the official spokesperson for the JMP told al-Etahad newspaper in an interview that if President Saleh did not at once stop his meddling in the state's internal affairs he would personally oversee the retraction if his immunity blanket. “Saleh has to bear the consequences of his threats. Irrespective of his stepping aside due to early presidential elections last month, Saleh still practices politics through his party the GPC which holds half of the caretaker government portfolios. It's outrageous for him to display such political venom, calling protesters corruptors, traitors and hirelings.” Moreover, with political sensibilities flaring up across the board, the Interior Ministry just announced through its website that it had all its men on high alert after al-Qaeda exposed its intentions to target the state institutions within the capital, Sana'a. Under the careful eye of the country Central Security Forces, hundreds of men have spread out throughout Sana'a to ensure its residents and officials' safety, with a reported 150 bobby-trapped vehicles to be yet found and deactivated. President Abdu Rabbo Mansout Hadi who for now was advised to remain at his personal residence on 60 Street is said to be preparing his move to the presidential palace which the intelligence services deem now safer since it is equipped to withstand bomb attacks.
