Cairo (dpa) At least 10 people were killed Wednesday by Syrian security forces in a fresh crackdown in restive areas of the country, reported opposition activists. The majority of the deaths occurred in the central province of Homs, according to the Local Coordination Committees, a network of opposition activists. Four civilians were injured Wednesday in the industrial zone of Homs when suspected pro-government militiamen fired on a crowd of people, reported the London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
