Leading business-critical billing and charging software company Redknee and Egypt's Mobinil – the largest telecom company by subscriptions – announced that the service provider will offer targeted price plans to the telecom operator's 30 million subscribers. Mobinil officials told Bikya Masr/IT News Africa that the pricing tool is to help move the company toward new goals and “continue to push the operation of telecom infrastructure forward.” The official, who was not authorized to speak to the media, said that “the real-time pricing operators will definitely drive our market through improvements and targeted pricing ideas, campaigns and further promotions of our brand.” Redknee's Price Simulator, according to their website, “is an event-driven analysis tool that enables operators to accurately model price elasticity in order to optimize pricing models and to effectively segment markets as well as launch new pricing plans and bundles with optimal forecasting of customer adoption, projected revenue and APRU.” Hassan Kabbani, CEO of Mobinil said in a press statement that “as one of the Middle East's largest operators, as well as Egypt's leading mobile operator, Mobinil is constantly looking for new and innovative ways to deliver value to our customers and maintain our leading market share.
