Nigeria's Information Technology Merit Awards (NITMA) organized by the Nigeria Computer Society (NCS) has named Zinox the top computer manufacturer in the country for the past year. NCS President Charles Uwadia made this declaration during a presentation of the award in Lagos, which is recognition of the firm's vision, professionalism and demonstrated capacity. Uwadia said that over the years, Zinox has consistently inspired the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector by proving that Nigerian professionals are as competent as the best professionals from Asia, Europe and America. “Even more professional because there is a touch of patriotism in everything that they do in Nigeria,” he said. Uwadia also said that the award was deserved and collaborates the consistent top-rating from international bodies on the high quality standards of Zinox Computers. The performance of Zinox in the supply of over 60 per cent of the Direct Data Capturing (DDC) machines, Prof. Uwadia advised governments in Nigeria not to depend on foreign professionals in executing future contracts of such magnitude, but rather depend on indigenous professional companies like Zinox Computers.
