On Sunday, hundreds of Ahly Egyptian club's fans waited for the football team to arrive at the airport while returning from Tunisia with the CAF Champions League title. Both the club's chairman Hassan Hamdi and deputy chairman Mahmoud Al-Khatib also were at the airport to congratulate the team for the title. The team arrived at the airport from Tunisia on Sunday evening, met their fans and celebrated the victory with them. On Saturday, Ahly defeated the Tunisian Esperance by 2-1 in the second leg of African Champions League's final in Tunisia's Rades. The first leg which was held in Alexandria of Egypt ended by the result 1-1, thus, the result in aggregate was 3-2 for Al-Ahly that won its 7th CAF Champions League title and qualified to Club World Cup for the 4th time.
