El-Araby Group to open its first components plant by mid 2020

Egypt's electronics and home appliances maker, El-Araby Group, seeks to inaugurate first plant for components in its industrial complex in Beni Suef by mid 2020, CEO Ibrahim El Araby revealed to Amwal Al Ghad.
Alaraby's new industrial complex in Beni Suef has been established in April 2018. It would include 12 new factories to produce electronics and home appliances with total investments worth 5.4 billion Egyptian pounds, creating 15,000 jobs.
The new components plant will supply other home appliances factories with motors, plastics, foam and podium increasing the local component from 70 percent to 100 percent in some products with various degrees, he added.
El Araby further noted that the first washing machines plant will be opened in Beni Suef during the last quarter of 2019 with total investments of 600 million Egyptian pounds.
He explained that the current production capacity of the group reaches half million washing machine annually and with the new plant will reach 1.5 million washing machine annually.
El-Araby Group has already two industrial complexes in Benha and Quesna.
Together the two complexes spread across more than 386,000 square metres Benha Complex which was first established in1982 includes three factories and one subsidised manufacturing plant The Quesna Complex which is larger and more recent – inaugurated in 2001– includes nine factories and three subsidised manufacturing plants.
