The coalition of "Ebni Betak" Project has presented a memorandum to Dr. Tarek Wafiq, Minister of Housing and Urban Communities, including the demands of the project's beneficiaries, who called upon completing the project as fast as possible, and providing the utilities, which are scheduled to be finalized by the end of next June. Taha Gado, Vice Chairman of Ebni Betak Association, stated that the memorandum includes the most important problems facing the project. The memorandum asked for finalizing the implementation process of the project and its utilities, in addition to providing services such as schools, transportation, and tightening security procedures. It also highlighted the need to reduce the fees of utilities (electricity- water), activating a system for paying off the fees by installments, and simplifying the procedures of establishing utilities. Given that the Ministry of Housing has proven to be unable to stick to its commitment regarding delivering the project on schedule, the memorandum demanded forming a board of directors to supervise the project, comprising a number of the project's beneficiaries and officials from the Ministry of Housing. Moreover, the coalition seeks to hold a meeting with the Minister of Housing Dr. Tarek Wafiq in order to discuss their demands.
